The nature and form of tort law is such that there are many practical difficulties in presenting it in a codified form. That is why it is considered appropriate to keep it uncodified and this is why this subject cannot be presented in the form of a review book with systematic commentaries. However, the authors have been adopting the method of presenting this book through various titles related to crimes. Adopting this convention, in the presented revised work, the author has divided the entire material related to tort law into two main parts. Part 1 contains a detailed description of various general principles related to torts along with updated decided cases, while Part 2 provides a critical analysis of specific torts. Apart from this, Other Compensatory Reliefs in Part 3 of the book and Consumer Protection Act, 2019 in Part 4 are precisely described. Since the tort law of India is basically based on 'English Law of Torts', the principle-based decided cases of English law have been incorporated at appropriate places. In India, due to people being more inclined towards seeking court remedies through folk law, the cases of tort law are relatively less, yet it is gradually progressing towards development. In this work, special attention has been given to relevant Indian decided cases. Along with tort law, consumer protection law has also been included as a compulsory subject in the enhanced law.
